How do you get your English Bulldog to eat bones without t

We started our bulldog puppy of the BARF diet, so far loves it, but he 's not too good about power break / mastica on bones, so as to test usually just inghiottirlo. Is there something that can be done to try and teach to do this? Or we should stop just to give him the bones?
