How much would it cost to get a chipped knee repaired in a
bulldog

I found an American bulldog who has a chipped knee and I need a house. The previous owners say that needs surgery, but can not afford to pay it. Anyone who knows what would cost to get this repaired? It is a very sweet dog and love to adopt it.
